Camel Ride, Bedouin BBQ Dinner & Show

Combine a sunset camel ride with a BBQ dinner, stargazing and a Bedouin show at a desert camp outside Sharm.

Duration
Evening, 4–5 hours
Category
Desert safari
Area
Sharm El Sheikh

As the sun sets over the Sinai mountains, the desert turns gold, then pink, then deep blue — and that is exactly when this evening begins. A camel ride, a traditional Bedouin camp, a barbecue dinner under the stars and live entertainment make it one of the most atmospheric excursions in Sharm El Sheikh.

  1. Your evening

After pick-up from your hotel, you drive into the desert to meet the camels and their Bedouin handlers. A gentle ride takes you across the sand while the sky changes colour. At the camp, you relax on cushions in a Bedouin tent with tea, try freshly baked Bedouin bread and enjoy a barbecue dinner. The night continues with music and a show — and, away from the city lights, a sky full of stars.

  2. Combine it with a safari

Many guests pair the evening with a quad bike or buggy safari in the afternoon, riding to the camp and staying for dinner. It is a full desert experience in a single trip.

  3. Good to know

Camel rides are calm and suitable for most ages; handlers lead the camels on foot. Bring a warm layer in winter, as desert nights can be chilly. Vegetarian meals can usually be arranged if you tell us in advance.

Is the camel ride safe for children?

Yes. The camels walk slowly and are led on foot by experienced Bedouin handlers. Young children usually ride together with a parent. If your child is nervous, they can simply enjoy watching the camels and join the rest of the evening at the camp, which is relaxed and family-friendly.

Is the Bedouin dinner halal?

The barbecue at Bedouin camps in Sinai is typically prepared with halal meat, served with rice, salads and freshly baked bread. If you have dietary requirements, such as vegetarian meals or allergies, let us know when booking so we can confirm with the camp in advance.

What time does the desert evening start and end?

Pick-up is timed so you reach the desert before sunset, which changes with the season. The evening usually lasts four to five hours, and you are back at your hotel in the late evening. We send the exact pick-up time the day before so you can plan your afternoon.

Can we have a private desert dinner?

Yes. For couples, proposals, birthdays or family celebrations we can arrange a private dinner setting in the desert, subject to availability. Tell us the occasion, the number of guests and your preferred date, and we will send you options with all the details.
