Beach Water Sports — Parasailing, Banana Boat & Glass-Bottom Boat

Fly above the bay on a parasail, ride the banana boat or tube, or watch the reef stay-dry from a glass-bottom boat or semi-submarine.

Duration
1–3 hours
Category
Sea & reefs
Area
Sharm El Sheikh

Not every day by the Red Sea has to be a long boat trip. Sharm El Sheikh’s beaches offer short, exciting water sports that fit easily between pool time and lunch — perfect for families, groups of friends and anyone who wants a quick dose of adrenaline.

  1. Choose your thrill

    • Parasailing: glide high above the bay attached to a parachute, with sweeping views over the reefs, resorts and mountains
    • Banana boat and tube rides: hold on tight while a speedboat pulls you across the waves — guaranteed laughter
    • Glass-bottom boat: watch fish and coral through the boat’s transparent hull, ideal for young children and non-swimmers
    • Semi-submarine: sit below the waterline and see the reef through large windows without getting wet
  2. Practical information

Activities usually last from 15 minutes to an hour, and you can combine several in one session. Life jackets are always provided and minimum ages apply for some rides. Availability depends on wind and sea conditions, so we confirm the best time on the day. Tell us which activities interest you and where you are staying, and we arrange everything — including pick-up when the activity starts from another beach.

Is parasailing safe?

Parasailing with licensed operators is a well-established activity in Sharm El Sheikh. Riders wear a harness and life jacket, the crew gives a briefing, and flights only take place when wind conditions are suitable. You can fly alone or in tandem. We work with operators who follow these safety practices.

Which water activities suit small children?

The glass-bottom boat and the semi-submarine are ideal for young children because they stay dry and seated while watching fish and coral. Banana and tube rides have minimum ages, usually around school age. Tell us your children’s ages and we will suggest the right mix of activities.

Can I book water sports if my hotel is not on the beach?

Yes. Many activities start from Naama Bay or other central beaches, and we arrange a transfer from your hotel if needed. Just tell us where you are staying and which day suits you best, and we will plan the timing so the activities fit around your other plans.

What if it is too windy?

Wind can pause parasailing and fast boat rides for safety. In that case we move your activity to a calmer time or day, or suggest an alternative such as the semi-submarine, which is less affected. We keep you updated on WhatsApp so you can plan your day.
